Guest Posting Terms and Conditions

By submitting an article to California Pretty, you acknowledge that you understand and comply with the following:

  1. Guest Posts and the material used within the guest post must be your own original work and/or must include credit to the original author(s).
  2. Plagiarism or copyright infringement is not permitted and will strongly be enforced by the California Pretty Staff.
  3. When quoting others for or within your written works, please make sure to properly cite your source(s).
  4. All posts will acknowledge your authorship and will carry with them your byline, author bio, author photo and appropriate links to your website and social media profiles were acceptable. But, published works will be the property of California Pretty.
  5. You are more than welcome to share a link to the post(s) you have authored on social media or your website.
  6. Affiliate links shall not be included in Guest Post submissions. If you wish to include affiliate links or other advertising related types of links you can refer to our Advertising Options and Rates.
  7. California Pretty reserves the right to add its own sponsors’ advertisements, affiliate links, and other related marketing and advertising where we deem appropriate.
  8. Guest Post writers will be allowed to have one link to their website or social media profile within the author’s bio or acknowledgment. This may not be an affiliate link, point to an affiliate site or a sponsored sites on your behalf. Any violation of this rule will cause your guest posting rights revoked.
  9. California Pretty does not offer any compensation for the writing, posting, and publishing of Guest Post(s), Visual Content, Audio Content or other materials.
  10. We do not guarantee any particular audience reach or any inclusion, backlink or likewise to or from any other site(s).
  11. California Pretty reserves the right to edit Guest Posts where we deem necessary.
  12. Once we officially post a Guest Post, you’re welcome to request we make grammatical or wording changes. Any edits that change the content or meaning of an article will need an “EDIT:” disclaimer added with a date. You are also welcome to request changes/updates to your photo, bio, or links. If at any time in the future you want to request such changes, email us and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
  13. California Pretty reserves the right to refuse publication or remove a Guest Post without prior notice to the Guest Post writer.
  14. By providing a Guest Post to California Pretty, you agree that you are in no way becoming a part of the website, team or company, nor shall you hold yourself out to be a member of the California Pretty website, team or company.
